The Starkhafn Equestrian Guild is open to any member of the Barony who is interested in equestrian arts. Baron Conall mac Séagháin serves as Starkhafn's Equestrian Marshal and head of the Starkhafn Equestrian Guild. Greetings Starkhafn,
We have good news regarding equestrian activities in Starkhafn. We have found someone who is willing to give lessons and lease her horse for SCA equestrian activities. She has asked that interested participants take at least two lessons with her. If she feels comfortable with your riding skill, you may lease her horse for the games. Her horse has already been exposed to “Beheading the Enemy” and the Quintain, and does nicely. For further information, contact Baron Conall at equestrian@starkhafn.org.
Please note that for liability reasons, all riding lessons and leasing must be handled on an individual basis, and not through the SCA or the Barony.
In addition, we are in the process of moving the Starkhafn equestrian practices to Calico Basin, just outside Red Rock State Park. We will resume scheduled, official practices once or twice a month on Saturdays, as soon as the insurance is finalized.
In Service,
Baron Conall mac Seaghain
